In the middle of the dynamic and innovative growth and economic region of Regensburg-Ingolstadt, almost picturesquely situated on the Danube and Altmühl, the steadily growing district town of Kelheim also offers a wide range of local recreational opportunities. Be it the Danube breakthrough in the Jura mountains with the Weltenburger Enge, which is known far beyond the borders of Germany (reachable by boat in 25 minutes), the attractive nature park of the Altmühl valley with its numerous castles and palaces (even accessible by bicycle) or the town’s landmark, the Liberation Hall, built by King Ludwig I of Bavaria, which is visible from afar.
Between the big cities
Thanks to its central location between the major cities of Regensburg, Ingolstadt, Munich and Nuremberg, Kelheim has excellent transport connections and can be reached easily from any direction. You can reach Kelheim easily via the motorways A9, A3 or A8 and via the B16. The city is also easily accessible by public transport. The excellently developed infrastructure makes it possible to reach Regensburg (approx. 25 km) within 20 minutes and Ingolstadt (approx. 60 km) within 35 minutes. The motorway A93 with connection to Munich can be reached within 15 minutes. In the urban area of Kelheim, in the immediate vicinity of the shopping centre Schäfflerstraße (as the crow flies approx. 400 m) is the newly projected residential complex on Kelheimwinzer Straße.
A view over fields and meadows
From the property, the view sweeps over fields and meadows in a northerly direction up to the former vineyards and in a westerly direction up to the aforementioned liberation hall.
